We take deposits and interim payments at different stages of the project, we set up an agreement/contract of works/quote agreed to secure a date, full payment within 3 months upon completion once you're happy with the work done generally over 3 payments.
For example for a £10,000 project you could get a full water proofing system, insulated stud walls boarded and skimmed, new ceiling with fire rated boards, electrics such as fire rated led spot lights, smoke and Co2 alarms and joinery. Deposit £3000 Interim payment upon completion of chipboard/screed floor £3000 upon completion £2000 4 weeks after completion £1000 8 weeks after completion £1000
How much do basement conversions cost?
The overall price will depend on how elaborate the conversion is, and what final level of fitting is required. Prices don't generally include any furniture or other things you may wish to add. Will my basement be damp?
No - We are fully trained and well experienced property care associate members which only the best products such as Delta, Newton PPS etc, which are the market leaders in waterproofing system that is designed to keep all water out of your basement by use of a wall and floor membrane, sumps and pumps. This will guarantee your basement will be damp and water free and unlike a lot of firms we fit 2 pumps, battery backup as standard.
How much head room should your basements have in order to be converted?
This mainly depends on Building control visits and their instructions on-site. We recommend a minimum of two metres of head room should be left after covering overhead pipes and wiring within the ceiling. If your ceiling has less than that, your use of the space may be restricted.
Can a basement conversion make an income?
Yes. Converting a basement into a bedroom apartment is actually fairly simple, and does not require planning permissions to complete. Rent your basement out and receive a rental income.
What systems do we fit into basements?
We use the best system for your project. We use a large range of different materials from cement tanking/renders and membranes for both walls and floors. Which is then covered by a 10 year guarantee; T&Cs apply.
How long does a basement conversion take?
For the initial construction and waterproofing stage this can take anything from 1 week to 10 weeks depending on size, see our project pages for a few examples. When we supply you with a report we will give you an estimated time duration and endeavour to finish before these dates.
What kind of insurances do we carry?
We hold the highest level of insurance, please feel free to request details. In brief we have £5,000,000.00 public liability insurance. More details are available upon request
